The Transformation of Education in Africa is a week of high-level online meetings and keynote presentations to support the challenges faced by African governments in light of the lessons learnt and the consequences to education due to the impact of the Covid pandemic.<\/p>\n

Notably, we will address the growing call for leveraging blended learning and the need for solutions that address the challenges of the ICT infrastructure, online pedagogy, appropriate technologies, digital literacy, learning platforms and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n\n

Lesson from Covid<\/span><\/h2>

Our organisation, the Global Online Learning Alliance<\/strong><\/a>, has organised regular meetings during the last 12 months that have revealed how African policy makers and educators are re-thinking their education systems in terms of national resilience. Given our experiences over the last year, expectations are that blended learning will become the norm and a considerable expansion of skills and competencies are required alongside robust policies essential for both the continuity of education and making up for the loss of learning. The Ministers will be discussing the consequences of the Covid pandemic and future expectations for digital education, online learning and skills development, as well as innovative approaches in the use of ICTs and edtech.<\/p>\n
